It sure didn't work. I need a new Control unit. My dealer says 700.00 plus tax. Any idea where to get one cheaper, and does the very last letter or the part number matter? The part number i have is 4L0 919 609 K and I found a part on ebay 4L0 919 609 J

Here is a picture of the part number. My part is exactly the same but has a (K) at the end, not a (H) like the one in the picture. Is there a difference, and will this one work?

I can't get there with the part # you provided but GenuineAudiparts.com has it listed for $561.60 for the 07-09 models if you wade through their catalog.

Here's the link, not sure if its going to work.

The wife spilled coffee into the MMI 2 days after delivery, cleaned it up and tried to hide it! I didn't notice it at first UNTIL it dried out, a few buttons got sticky and have never recovered, but still work.

I've banned all drinks but water in the Q now. (and now I have a get-out-of-jail-free card next time I screw-up.)

Thanks for the pics. Looks like an EZ replacement, cost seems ***-tronomical.... Almost everyone has a beverage of some sort in their vehicle these days. Pretty much seems like an incredible not thought out design (at least for the American market).

If I were you, i take out the board with the spilled liquid and rinse it in warm water and let it dry, also clean all the contacts.

I dropped a camera in a pool once, it didn't work for a whole year and suddenly it works again.

You have to throughly dry the wet components, in your case, the sugar or the sticky stuff is interfering with the contacts.

Good luck.

Took my unit apart tonight. My board was clean. Cleaned the sticky switch and voila! It wasn't that bad. It took me 50 min. Thanks for the tip.
