Perhaps we can get a fund started and pass around the software and maps, so we all benefit and split the cost into peanuts?
I'm in!

Hey dread,
The MMI certainly seems faster and more responsive. I've just finished hashing on the maps and will be doing that either today or tomorrow. I tested the code vs. the base and should work...fingers crossed

"Unless you are comfortable with low-level coding, akin to C and are familiar with compiling code"
Now I'm curious: What is the MMI system? Is it some ARM system? Linux-based?

So I found a guy that offered this:
Firmware is k0942_3
Nav is nar 6.16
200 includes a custom activator for your vin
I can send you everything via
Mail
Or email
What do you all think?
I am not familiar with the coding aspect persay, but with instruction I could certainly move through it.

Why pay $200 to some random guy? The unique VIN activator is the key component...so none of that is shareable with anyone, since it's unique to each VIN.

I should have some news later today...if everything goes well.

I think this is plug and play? SD card? DVD?
If you could direct me with the coding, I would not be scared to implement it, I am just not familiar with it.
I have coded websites, yearsssssss ago and haven't used it since.
It is worth it to me to pay for it, just not the extravagant amount Audi wants!

He claims:
it’s all original
Let me send you a pic of my unit
Updates with the firmware
And nav
Updated**
Only thing custom is the activator I make specifically for your vin
I am all for sharing and energy exchange, but man I just don't want to fry my MMI on some scam!
