Hi old96A4, sorry to revive an old thread but I had a question about your write up: Were you able to find those connectors with the pins to attach to the wires? or did you have to come up with something on your own?

the 2 pin connector is for trailer brake harness, this thread has a photo of what the harness plug looks like: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...wires-2989726/

They are not required to be hooked up to anything unless you install a brake controller and tow a trailer w/brakes.

The 2 pin harness seems to connect to the plug under the dash for the brake controller.
