Time for a change!
Hey guys, havent been on here recently due to a delivery of a new car which I totally forgot to mention. After owning 4 Q7's since 2007 and then switching over to an F10 M5 for a while, I decided I needed an SUV again. I happened to be going around lots of dealerships and guess what? I ended up at a Lexus dealership and placed an order that day!

Mainly it was the hybrid tech. Not for the fuel saving, which is a bonus in itself but how unbelievably quiet the car is. Then there's the power, it just goes! I think its to do with the different power bands for the electric motor and engine combined which makes the car quick, especially over 70mph. The handling is awesome too, hate to say it guys, its slightly better than the Q7 probably down to the firmer springs of the F Sport version and the ride is better too. Weird combination or what? Its actually the best riding SUV ive been in to date but maybe thats because the M5 was a really harsh ride.
Also, here in the UK, Lexus' are rare and I fancied something different. Never had a japanese car before but im certainly impressed. Heads up display is a really cool feature and I gotta say the Mark Levinson sound system is fantastic.
I think the dealer also reeled me in. They were just really professional and friendly. After owning various German cars from BMW, Mercedes and Audi, I always felt I was unsatisfied with the dealers but these Lexus dealers seems to be doing a great job.

Looks like Lexus finally put some testosterone into the design. Their last redesign is the reason we went the Q7 route.
Now that we have gotten used to the utility of a 7 passenger and Audi's design - both inside and out - I would have a hard time not getting another Q7 when it is time to update our current ride. But I do have to give Lexus kudos on the design.

Out of the four I owned, the 2007 had a sunroof which leaked causing a major malfunction in the MMI system. I swapped for a 2009 pre-facelift which had an engine problem and the tailgate kept sticking. Swapped for a 2010 facelift model which had no issues apart from the MMI not working and then I totalled it. Then i got a 2012 which had MMI problems again and issues with lights not turning on. So it did have problems which I did end up getting rather frustrated about.
