Strange stereo problem this morning. Bass is blasting, stereo useless

Just to bring this back up again - my 2007 Q7 is back from the dealer having had the amp replaced. Basically, the MMI was non-functional and then it returned but there was no sound (there were a few other random symptoms along the way too).
Basically, there is a TSB on the rear sunroof drains. Either they leak or the drain gets kinked and leaks. The leak from the right rear, drips down onto the amp and then shorts it out.
If you have a 2007 Q7, it might be worth pulling the right rear panel in the trunk to look at the amp and to check for signs of water.
John.

I have an '07 and the whole sunroof thing is a major deal. I had a bunch of electrical problems pop up all at once (stereo, dead battery, air suspension, etc..). The service writer rolled his eyes when we told him of all the issues. He said "We're gonna need your car for a while" They knew exactly what was causing all this. Sure enough, the sunroof bezel was leaking as described in the previous posts. From what I gather, it is a very known problem, there is a TSB out along with a modded sunroof assembly. The bad news- it took over three weeks to repair as they gutted the interior so as to replace the entire sunroof assembly. I shudder to think what this would have cost out of warranty. I don't know when the new part numbers made it into production but suffice it to say, IF YOU HAVE AN '07 AND ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY YOU BEST GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE IT WIPES OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! The good news- this particular dealer, from which I didn't even buy the car from fixed everything no questions asked! They even gave us a new Q5 to drive and apologized for not having a Q7 to give us. Incredible service. They have a few touch ups to do next week so I'll refrain from naming the dealer until all is well. I will say that after seeing the car completely torn apart, there hasn't been a hint of a rattle and all is as it should be.

sunroof leak
Mine encountered the problem last week. It has been in the shop since then. It was the radio then the air suspension. What was the final outcome of yours. Saw mine gutted out. Did it affect the air bags? Rattling? What were the touch ups?

Mine is having this done as well. I will be without it for about 2wks while they wait for parts(sunroof frame and headliner). The D pillar cover is on national backorder.... Joy, joy. So glad I JUST bought the lease out, not!
