Steering Wheel Memory & Easy Access

Button #1 is me, #2 my wife. When I pulled into my driveway a few hours ago I pushed #2 and the seat/mirrors/steering wheel moved to her position.
Keep in mind you have to push the memory button in and hold it to get it to work--a simple push won't do.

I assume I am doing it right since the memory works for the seats and mirrors. There just seems to be something wonky with the wheel that I am going to have to have them look at.

Interesting side note on this. I noticed on mine if I have the car off and tap the button it will move through the whole sequence on its own. If I am sitting in the car with it turned on I have to press and hold the button. I assume this is a safety feature in case it is pressed while driving.

Fist, cool pics! I'm a bit dizzy though going from car to plane to crazy shirt!
Second, yes the seats are supposed to work that way. If the door is open they will move fully to the memory selected. If the doors are closed you have to hold the button to get through the entire cycle. I agree likely safety but also unnecessary.
Third, after having more time in the garage I figured out the steering wheel situation. If Easy Entry is on, the steering wheel will not move to the memory setting until AFTER the ignition is engaged. When I was playing with the memory seats in the car I didn't want to waste gas and didn't seem that the ignition was necessary. However, when the ignition is turned on, the wheel does move to the proper memory setting. In retrospect this makes sense as Easy Access would want to make sure you are seated and ready before moving the steering wheel otherwise it may negate the value of Easy Access. Easy Access is now also working although I am not 100% sure why. Turning the key off does allow the wheel to automatically move to the top most position. I did play with the key memory setting in the MMI just to see if that would do anything so perhaps cycling it reset something. Strange, but all is working for the moment...
