exactly what mine was doing when we finally hooked up our 07.
Of course it would never stay "linked" so I took it in to get checked. Of course they came back and said the satellite radio controller was bad and of course it was not covered by CPO, and since mine is an early radion module there are none ever on ebay...

Ours does this infrequently as well. Most of the time it happens while going under highway underpasses and there are certain areas of road in which it repeatedly occurs. I guess there are dead zones just like with cell phones. If yours is doing this all the time there is likely a problem with your car.
