Rear hatch not shutting

Rear hatch not shutting
I have the electric hatch on my 07. It opens fine, but when I hit the button to close it, it will not latch completely. It acts like its going to, but then it pop opens a little. Anyone else had this problem?
If I give it a little push when its closing it will latch.
Thanks

+1.
It may only need tiny latch adjustment but no way to tell without scan. There have been at least 6 other 07 tailgate problems but they vary slightly each time. Mine was a button fail (due to water running down the loom into it) but symptoms were different and it threw up fault codes.
One was caused by debris in the latch slot, misalignment causing the closing motor to damage the receiver. Another was receiver came loose resulting in intermittant fails. A strut partially fail resulting in incorrect pressure.
This case solution was never posted.
Please report back on your case.
