Default q7 mesh grille ?

2009 q7 premium plus. I want to replace the grille with a black honey comb style. Any thoughts about removal and a good place to get it? It is easy as DIY? Thanks guys!

hi , I made my own grille using honeycombe mesh, firstly its cheap to do ,but there is a problem, behind the numberplate part of the grill is a shaped part of the bodywork so you cant just fit a new grill which is straight you have to cut part of the bodywork behind the original grille away, and its a bugger.there are many different styles of replacement grilles on ebay and in google ,hope this helps, chris

Thanks guys for the replies. I did see that post but my concern is that if I do not want to use the plate holder or the rsd7 badge can I remove them? And running at 400$ seems a bit to much. I googled for a while now.and besides this one there's really nothing out thete that I like. Does it have a part number or something to make it easier to search?

Do you happen to have any pics? I won't mind a DIY. Thanks

Yes the RSQ7 badge and the plate holder can be removed. I removed them:
