Q7 LED Strip
#11
If anyone has a set of the '07-'09 OEM front turn signals they have replaced with LED units, I'm interested in buying a used set of the standard OEM signals and posted a "WTB" ad in the Q7 classifieds. -Thanks-

Yes, this is how its supposed to function. I have a 2014 and confirmed that the yellow LED strip is only meant as a turn signal. They do not stay on continuously nor can they disabled.
The white LED's around the headlights act as DRLs and these can be disabled via the MMI.

Still doing research, so please forgive my ignorance - but has there been any new info on this topic?
Just picked up a 2014 Q7 and would love to change the lower LED strip to white and have them run as DRL with the headlight DRL - yet blink orange when turning.
I see different variations on ebay and forums, but haven't came across anything in regards to the 2014 model (if there is any difference?).
ANY help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

you want to have two sets of drl? i think your friend end will look like a christmas tree but if you're going to do this you might have to get the v12 lower led since they are the drl. (maybe you can splice the wiring that is for the drl in the headlight housing and then run wire to the lower led but i have no idea how to do that or if it would even work. you would probably need to see a wiring diagram and see if it can be done.)
