Default Purchasing new Q7 S line - optional warranty

Hi,

I know I will get hit with optional warranties when I go to pay for my new Q7 .

Which and how much have you been offered? Which is recommended? Any service needs I will be taking it into an Audi (Not a do it yourself car guy).

I also have USAA and can get the USAA protection plan and not sure how that competes with Audi plans?

Any input would be great!

Thanks

I recently got a quote from Audi for their extended warrenty. and it depends on km and time that you are looking for.
For example
$4000 for 40,000k or 2 years or $5700 for 60,000km and 4 years

First find out what USAA can offer you before you hear the numbers from Audi.

Consider buying Audi Care too. I think it's a great deal.

You can usually shop around for these Audi branded ESCs and on a new Q7, they should be relatively cheap. I would be surprised if a 7 or 8 year 100k (miles) Platinum (limited exclusions) would be much more than $3000, largely due to the fact that that ESC won't be active until AFTER the factory 4yr/50k comprehensive warranty is expired, at least the way I've seen them written.

Here's one place I requested quotes from and they were the most competitive rate I found, though they couldn't sell a plan to me because my Q7 was sold to me from another dealer out of state and was outside the original mfr warranty.

I'm told they can sell Audi branded Fidelity/JMA underwritten plans out of state under certain conditions, which new (in warranty) vehicles meet. I would get a quote from them and go back to your local dealer with that number, which they should be able to match or come close enough for transactional convenience.
