Default My winter wheel setup

Not wanting to drop down from my 21" S Line wheels to tiny 18" wheels for the winter, I opted to go with cheap 20" BBS CH knock off rims from Bremmer Kraft.

RIMS: Bremmer Kraft Br05, 20x9 ET 55
TIRES: Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1, 275/45R20

At 200 bucks a (20") rim from Tire Rack, these things look pretty good!

I ended up painting the center caps black and glueing (J B Weld) Audi center cap logos.

Check out the pics:

Very nice and awesome DIY!

I'm thinking of running 20"'s for winters too. Also didn't want to go down to 18"'s.

How are the Blizzaks noise wise? How about the ride? Based on my Tirerack research, those were the tires that I was going to pick up as well.

Thanks.

I've only had them on for a couple days, but...
Compared to the harsh ride of the 21" Dunlops, these Blizzaks run very soft and cushy. I haven't noticed if these are any noisier then the stock 21 tires. What I do notice is that with the 21's I can feel all the road cracks and bumps and just dropping down 1 inch to 20's, the ride is very cush on the Blizzaks. I can't corner as hard, but hey these are winter tires. Their primary role is to get me through the slush and snow.

Nice bit of rim protection on them too.

Finally our first snow fall in the Chicago area for 2012. Got a chance to play around in my 2012 Q7 wrapped in Blizzak snow tires. Thumbs up for all out snow tires!

Love it! Looks like Black Lug cap covers/did they come with the wheels? Also like the Audi center cap change.

Installed Blizzaks on my other SUV. They are nite and day difference in winter compared to Parada Spec X currently on my Q. Usually run the stock Continentals in the winter, havent had time to swap them out yet.

I ordered the black lug caps separately from ECS Tuning.
