Default High mileage

Gi guys, I'm looking at an Q7 2014with 91K high way mile at $28K asking. I'm temping to consider it, given great condition and drive well. I'm just concerned about the high mileage regardless it's a highway mileage or not. Any feedback from the group, I would appreciate! Thank you!

Is it a gasser or a TDI? Makes a difference. What are the maintenance records like?

Default maintenance is everything

my 2012 is pushing 100,000 right now and it is literally like new visually and mechanically. It has had ALL the major service done at the dealership and extras incl. a full trans service at 75,000. the old 100,000 rule no longer applies to most high end cars as they are built so well that if you service them properly they will last for ever or until you decide you want something else.

Thanks for the insight. I actually missed the deal, someone bought it before I acted. But there is another one with less mileage 53K miles but it's the 2013 model. Anything much different between 2013 vs 2014? I read somewhere about the headlights being Xenon on the 2014 vs only halogen for the 2013. And also more mechanically electronically improved on the 2014. Any thoughts?

It seems to be a crap shoot. If a car comes off the production line on a Friday DON"T but it. If a car is manufactured on a Monday, DON'T buy it. Some folks have had great luck with high mileage cars, others not so lucky.
If you can get a Carfax which shows dealer service all along, you can feel pretty confident that the car is OK. If on the other hand it says "Serviced by Joe's Super Cheap Midnight Guys" - look out. :-)

The problem here isn't that the car is HIGH MILES as in its at 100,000 miles.
The problem is the car is at 100,000 in record time.
I would be more concerned as to how that happened so fast?
Was it driven cross cross weekly, or off doing stop and go pizza deliveries.
I am not really sure how to look at it. 100,000 miles regardless of speed still wears parts so the usual things are going to wear out like water pumps alternators.
But because its only 3 years old, the battery is fine etc...
For me $28k is too much money for a car already at 100,000 miles.
If it had the proper miles for a 3 year old car yes.
If I was actually going to think about it, I would look at what year is 100k normal to be at and demand they charge that much money.

385,000 km on my 07 q7 3.6 started as a grocery getter and now a tow / work vehicle . no major complaints other than the rear hatch mysteriously closes on your head without warning at times if not careful lol

Our 2011 TDI is at 105000 miles and even if there were no diesel buyback looming, I would not take $30,000 for it.

Keep in mind that TDIs need to have diesel particulate filters changed at about 120k miles, and that is not cheap. Also, mine is at 75k miles (with all service performed) and just had the water pump go out.
