For future reference my Audi dealer is far away but a VW dealer is in my neighborhood, just wondering if VW does service Audi and are they knowledgeable about Audi.

Short answer- Yes. I purchased my Q7 from a VW dealer and purchased an extended warrantee from them as well. They perform all of the recommended service and stamp the book tool. I've talked to Audi and they don't have any problem with this. That being said, even though the Toureg and and Q are similar, when I've had complex issues like a leaking sunroof, I took it to Audi. Again, no issues and they were very understanding having the scheduled service done at VW.

We departed the VW marque for the reason they can't service or maintain the product they sell. It's quite pathetic. Perhaps your local dealership will buck the national trend, Audiblack

i would think they should know all about Audi...the Audi brand is owned by the Volkswagen group. i know they operate independently but i would expect sharing of training/information/technology to happen freely

of course there are some Audi dealerships that soemtimes seem to have trouble with Audi so i guess it depends

A VW dealer cannot perform warranty work on an Audi.They can work on it if YOU are willing to pay for it. Im sure they can do oil changes and minor other stuff, but other than that, its best to see your local Audi dealer for anything out of the norm.
