Does Q7 2008 support bluetooth (so I can make phone calls)?

If your Q7 comes with a phone bay in the armrest, it does have Bluetooth.
1. Turn on the ignition (turning on the MMI with ignition off is not enough to activate/use Bluetooth).
2. Do a Bluetooth search on your phone. If "Audi...." appears on the device list, pair your phone with the car; the default code is 1234 if I remember correctly.
3. If no "Audi...." is detected, connect your VCDS to 77-Telephone, and click 10-Adaptation. Activate Channel 133 and change bit 0 to 1 (Bluetooth on), click Test and Save. Next, and this is very important, activate Channel 134 and change bit 1 to 0, click Test and Save.
4. Do the search on the phone and the car appears immediately on the device list. Pair.
According to Audi A8 (4E) Telephone Preparation - Ross-Tech Wiki
0 = Hands-free active while Bluetooth connection is active but without cell phone engaged
1 = Hands-free only active with cell phone engaged
Turns out, Option 1 seems to be activated by default (or so was the case on my Q7 and my wife's A6), which effectively blocks the Bluetooth function unless the phone is physically connected to the car.
