Caliper piston dust boots
Hey all, just did full brake job on my '14 Q7. On the rear drivers side, and perhaps I caused it pushing the pistons back, perhaps it was already there, but there's about a 5mm tear in one of the external brake caliper piston dust boots. Anyone know if these are replaceable, as well as what level of priority I should give to replacing if it's warranted?

5mm is small and it may seal itself; but it might allow water in leading to rust, so best to replace it soon, especially during rainy season. Definitely a replaceable part that's cheap and easy to find. Some have used RTV silicon after cleaning to patch small tears. Good luck - let us know what you did.

Awesome thanks; I just found that page in the service manual too. I can't find a part number for the dust boot though; been digging around for the Audi part or even just the generic Brembo part. I think these calipers are the same that are used on the Cayenne as well but haven't found a part # there.

Looks like from Audi it comes in a caliper repair kit. Part # 7L0698671
