Default Best HID & DRL Update 2008 None Xenon S Line Please?

Hi all

My 2008 4.2 TDI S Line doesn't have factory Xenon or DRL's (deffo no Xenon not 100% on the DRL part ) so I wanted to know what are the best options for the update, in terms of kit that's been used by forum members and is the best combo of price, installation and colour please? There are far too many to chose from, some branded and some not, I think 5000k colour will be right and intend to change the front fogs too (one lamp is dull and the other cracked) so that its a bit more up to date i the front but what happens to the high beam, do i need HID upgrade kit for that too?

Is it a better option to go with replacement headlamps off eBay etc that have the Xenon feature, with the help of the adapter that's available these days?#

Finally, I wanted to swap out the lamps in the front bumper / fender for the V12 or facelift LED style ones and a seller here in the UK offers them for £240 GBP which is a great deal but he says they only switch on with headlights on unless a permanent live is connected.

Id really appreciate some feedback on the best options for all of the above so i know I'm on the right track when buying my kit?

Thanks in advance to those who answer the this repetitive question.

Carl
