Anyone feels the suspension is too stiff ?
I did not have the optional Air suspension on my Q7 because it wasn't an option for the 3.6. So I'm talking about the original suspension.
After owning my Q7 for 2 months and putting 3000 miles to it, I can not bear with the suspension no more.
It is so tough and would make anything inside the car (keychain, plastic bags, even the rear center console cup holder when it's not holding any drink) rattle and make annoying noise all the way. Think about how your back and butt feel when riding on a car which is this tough. It is totally NOT comfortable.
I almost consider to sell the car because I ride more comfortable in my 1992 Toyota Corolla which cost me $1000 three years ago (probably worth $600 now).
Is suspension suppose to be so hard on every Q7 without Air Suspension? Or it's just the one I got?

Read any Audi review.
Stiff dampers, soft springs. Every Audi currently made gets dinged for having a stiff suspension.
All Audi's are like this. But suspension comfort is all relative, only you know what you'll like. The flip side is also that a stiff suspension is how you keep 2 tons of SUV controllable.
I've got air, and even on comfort it can be a little jarring at times but filters 70%. Dynamic is hard as a rock.

I drive my steel suspension Q7 30k miles a year
and there are times, over really bad pavement where it is rough but 99% of the time it's just fine. I think people that are accustomed to cars or japanese SUVs have a hard time with european versions. My mother-in-law is selling her Cayenne for the same reason (which is way worse than the Q7 FWIW) and she came from a Lexus.

All right.. anyone has noise rattle problem this bad?
I mean, physically ANYTHING that can make noise, you put it inside the car, it rattles and makes sure you know it's there...
Last night I have 5~6 plastic bags from gerocery store in the trunk, they won't stop making noise for 30 minutes all the way from the store back to my home, this is so unbelievable to happen in a $60K car. That's what made me decide I need to post this question today.
Try pulling put the rear seat cup holder from the armrest. It starts to rattle even without any cups in it. When you put a cup in it, it gets worse.

Re: I drive my steel suspension Q7 30k miles a year
Maybe the fact aht I quote my Toyota gave a wrogn impression. I wasn't really expect it to be as soft as any Japanese car.
I used to have a M-Benz ML320 (W163) and I still have a BMW M3 w/ aftermarket sports suspension right now. Either one is MUCH more comfortable to ride than the Q7. Now I am comparing Euro to Euro, Q7 is not getting there at all.

They may have forgot to remove the shipping blocks - happened to me on my A4
I removed them myself. They were little orange plastic blocks in the coils of the front suspension.
