Anyone with a 3.6L and the APR ECU tune? Or other engines as well...
I found a local shop that does APR ECU tunes on Audi's. The cost is pretty reasonable, $480 for the ECU and installation. APR claims 300+ hp and 285 ft-lbs of torque with the upgrade on the 3.6L. As well as improved fuel economy. Just wondered if anyone has gone with APR and what your experience has been, positive or negative.

Sad no one replied...
I have the APR Stage One tune on my 2013 Audi A8L 4.0T and well worth the cost (much more power, torque and removed my speed limiter)...
I highly recommend APR!
Watch for their end of year sales - I did and save a few hundred bucks... Good luck!

The 3.6 doesn’t get much of a HP/TQ bump with tuning power wise. The biggest change with a tune will be the pedal mapping. At most 10-15hp for the $400-$500.
I did a Malone tune on my 3.6 CC because I have a friend who is a dealer and I know Mark Malone so I got a hookup price. I also did a United Motorsports swap tune on my 3.6 corrado because it’s a swap and certain things needs to be done like mk4 pedal maps, eliminate some CEL codes and so on.
I would advise against a tune and suggest an exhaust or eliminate some of the exhaust mufflers so you can properly hear the 3.6 Wookie noises.
I’m not sure about the q7/touareg 3.6 mufflers but the CC/passat has 5 mufflers and 4 cats to silence the 3.6. I removed the suitcase muffler and it now has an oem sport sound. Just some food for thought.

I know Supersprint makes a cat back exhaust for the 3.6L. I read a thread where someone had deleted the resonator and replaced it with an x pipe. I think that is probably my next big purchase. Just have to find a good exhaust shop.
