Jeep Cherokee diesel yet? I have to get a car for company use now, and might get one of these until the Q5 TDI gets here. THANKS!

Default Where they the diesels or gas versions?

The R class is very a practical family vehicle, but I can't see myself driving that thing everyday. The GL is way too big. Even the ML is too big, but I'd consider it because of the CDI.

I have a Q5 TDI on order, but God knows when that will arrive in the US. I have to lease a car before the end of the month for company use. Was thinking A4, but I might consider the diesel ML for 24 months until the Q5 TDI and B8 A4 TDI arrive here.

Did you not like the diesel or the car?

I drove a gas R350 and a diesel GL320. I liked both. The R did not have a 7th seat at the time and the GL was about $10K higher to match the Q7 eqipment.

I really liked the Blutec diesel engine. Really smooth and quiet - no stink at all. It is just a monster in the torque curve. Really easy acceleration for passing.

Default Drove an ML320 and was impressed especially for the money...

Drove the ML350 gas first and the 320 d felt much quicker once on boost. I wanted one as a tow vehicle and daily commuter. And for $48K, a whole lot better value that a Q or VW Touareg. But it is smaller than the Q too. And I heard they were starting to have problems with the 7 speed auto trans so decided that towing 5000 lbs would just make it worse. but i did like the ML a lot.
