I replaces the sub in the back of my Q7 with an alpine amp and a line level converter that has remote turn on output:

Rockford Fosgate RF-BLD 2-Channel Balanced Line Driver HI LOW Converter
3SIXTY Analog Processors - RF-BLD - Rockford Fosgate®

When there is an audio signal input the Rockford Fosgate RF-BLD will sent out a remote turn on signal to your amp.

Good luck

i used an Audiocontrol Lc2i but when i used the auto signal sense feature, the amp stays on after switching off the vehicle and you can hear the sub making intermittent thuds.

I see the same thing that after switching off the vehicle the amp wil stay on and i also hear the sub making intermittent thuds. My thought is the MMI is still functioning because after the vehicle is turned for a time you can still use the radio. Mine does turn off eventually. i used the rockford line convetr because I didn't line the Lc2I accubase cutting in and out making the music sound choppy.

i dont mind the response from the sub, its just the thuds i cant take. so i am looking at a way of finding an Acc signal or remote turn on signal apart from using the ignition.
