I have code: 4529 - Fan 1 Control Circuit P0692 00 [00100111] - Short to Plus

The fan keeps running (car shut off, locked, etc) for a long time (this is NOT the 'afterrun cooling' when engine is very hot).
I assuem faulty fan control module.
Can someone provide me with the part number (tough to get to the module inbedded into the back of the fan)?
Is the TDI maybe using the same as the gas 3.0? Plenty of those around:

I would try one from junkyard,and avoid having to take the whole fan assembly/carrier out (may even need front bumper off?)
Maybe someone even has a link to DIY change of the module?

Possible that the NON towing TDI and V6 use same 300 (or 450?) watt fans and same controller?
My car did NOT come with towing package and the larger fan (600 Watt?).

Does someone know which fan/module is FAN 1? On engine parts (cylinder banks, etc) ONE is right side. not sure for the fans though.

Fan 1 is the right (passenger side in US) large fan.
I unplugged the can connector to prevent fan from running.
I do see ONE larger/long module for the FAN2/small/left fan. But don't see a similar module for the large FAN1.

Don't get ahead of yourself: Use the power of the internet search when you have a trouble code like this one...a very specific trouble code, etc. Fuses (blown), relays (stuck open), as well as the things that trigger the fan to run (sensor), are all suspect in a case like this.
