Q7 vs Land Cruiser/Lx
Can anyone who looked at both give me your impression on interior room for the back seat?
I looked at my friends LX and found the interior space in the second row to be terrible. Your knees are in your face. The third row was useless for humans.
I looked at a Q7 a few years ago and recalled the back seat being similar to an A6 in leg room and was not too bad.
We drove a Toyota Sequoia and that is huge. The second and third row are very comfortable.
I recall the third row in the Q7 being pretty tight.
What say you Q7 owners.
(Our local Audi dealership closed about 20 minutes after I drove my A8L off the lot)

land cruiser has less rear leg room but more width, smaller (pointless?) 3rd row area, eight cylinder and lack luster interior for the price point. if you're going spacious w/ eight cylinders without any frills... LR4 will do all of the above but better. (i would go with a used 2012, updated navigation system but slower than the previous version.)

We have both. Q7 2nd row has more legroom than the LX, but 3rd row is defninitely only for kids, with a low roofline, and narrower width. LX/Landcruiser can fit 8 in a pinch, but the 3rd row is tight for even 3 kids. Two adults car ride in the 3rd row okay, but legroom is tight and it's more difficult for adults to get to the 3rd row. The HVAC is better for the 3rd row in the LX vs. the Q7.
Sequoia is much bigger, but not in the same class luxury-wise as the Landcruiser/LX. New Range Rover looks nice, but I'm always leery of their reliability/durability. LX/Landcruisers have been rock solid with very few issues since they came out in 2008, and the previous generation was solid too.
European vehicles seem to have more maintenance issues in my experience. Jalopnik has a contributor Doug Demuro that bought a RR from Carfax, and loves how his Extended Warranty is covering the numerous repairs he's had, and he doesn't recommend buying a Range Rover without one.

It's a shame they don't have something a bit more plush above the Sequoia Platinum, at least the Platinum has adjustable air suspension, but all of them are Rear Wheel Drive/4x4 switching, not AWD. That was a bit of a surprise when we drove the Sequoia. My wife does not like the idea of having to remember to switch to 4 WD when the snow starts.
We need to find a Q7 to look at before picking a new car.
The Sienna has 106,000 miles and is running fine, not bad for a 2008 model. I can't see buying a new minivan for a few different appearance items, same size, same power train, etc.
Maybe a Q9 will come along LOL...

X6 LOL. X6M is cool but I need room for five. When I'm ready for a 4 seater I'll be ready for the 911turbo. LOL.
Q8 will be smaller? Perhaps Q6 would be a better number for it.

i don't do the branding just relaying the info AOA released.
it is going to be a coupe based suv.
just like x6 is to x5.
one of the most pointless vehicles on the road.
