check engine light on, no faults
Hi all,
Had the check engine light (MFI) come on while driving home on the highway last Friday on the SECOND TO LAST DAY of my CPO warranty (Does Audi have a sense of humor?). Car was driving fine, but I dropped it immediately at the dealer.
Dealer got to it Monday and, surprise, the MFI was no longer illuminated. They were apparently unable to reproduce the issue and, to boot, NO faults were recorded. Shop foreman stumped.
I've been told "it's documented" now so if it recurs to bring it right back, but obviously given that I'm technically out of warranty, I'm understandably concerned.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?

That's odd - on most cars - anytime a CEL comes on, the computer records all the data points of the car's current status, and logs the error code that caused it to come on in the first place.

There was one other issue with the car relating to the parking sensors, and apparently the dealer started working on that first -- some corroded wiring in the front was causing the sensors to intermittently not register and throw faults. What I'm betting is that while working on that, they cleared the faults recorded with the CEL.
