I'm interested to hear about the ride quality as compared to OEM. It is a cheaper alternative to the KW3 coilover option to lower the car.

Yes please. I'm curious too. My 07' Q7 ride blows and I have the 20" stick wheels. Crunchy, stiff, and bouncy all at the same time.

I guess I will be the first ever to have the Koni FSD installed on a Q7. Cool!

There's a note on tirerack that it's not for use with lower spring kits.

finally got my FSD in... got a quote from a local shop (specialize in audi cars) that it takes about 8 hours to put these in the Q7 at $118/hr .. i laughed so hard and asked him if he was being serious. obviously he didn't think it's funny.

If you decide to do it your self, the rear is a pain the ***. The fronts are real simple, I only have H&R on my Q and the ride is bouncy in the rear not horrible, this could be because of the OEM struts though

Yea the Koni FSD's won't hold up as well as Bilstein Sports. I've used both (not on the Q7) and the Bilstein's are a much better match for lowering springs. The Koni's do come with a lifetime warranty I believe so when they blow out you can get them rebuilt.
Tirerack has Bilstein sports for the 2010 Touareg which are the exactly the same as Q7 shocks and struts.

yeah, i'm not looking to lower the Q7 .. just want to improve the ride comfort because the 07' oem shocks are stiff as hello.
