Hi --

I have a 2010 Q7 TDI Prestige with S-Line, currently running 20" wheels. I have a set of 255/55 R18 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 snow tires that I'd like to mount on some 18 x 8 rims (they are RONAL OEM 6-spoke 8J x 18H2 ET56).

My local garage is questioning whether these rims will fit my car correctly. I tried mounting one on the front and it seemed to fit fine and not collide with the calipers or suspension.

When I look at various fitment databases, this 18" rim shows up as a standard fit on a generic 2010 Q7. But if you specify TDI, for some sites show only a 19" wheel.

Can anyone confirm that these wheels are a fit?

18" will be fine, the 19 inch wheel is for the V12 TDI.

I ran 18's on my 2011 TDI Prestige this winter, with no problems. Purchased the wheel/tire package via the dealer via tirerack.com. The OEM winter package is 18" as well.

I've used 18" rims with winter tires (from Tirerack.com) on my '07 that came 19" rims from the factory and on my '10 and '13 that came with 20" rims from the factory. You should not have any problems if the 18" wheel bolt pattern is correct.
