Default 07 q7 tpms malfunction after brake pad replace

hi all, have any of you experienced a tpms malfunction directly after replacing the front brake pads and sensors. i do all my own work on the vehicle and this is the first time ive gotten this malfunction.

ive tried resetting tpms via store current tire pressure. nothing. ive also tried a total reset with change wheels and driving for 20 min+ and that didnt work either.

nothing strange during the brake change, just set wheel to the side replaced pads and sensors, remounted. brakes work great now btw with the new pads i picked up lol

would like to see if i can fix it before i just disable tpms altogether with the vagcom. thanks for any insight.

additional info: 77k current, new sensors with last tire replacement @ 71k, error message is tpms malfunction
