I recently purchased a 2011 Q7 S-line. I am interested in running boards however when I check eBay or running board warehouse websites they all say s-line model are excluded. Is there a reason for this? The side looks liked the side of a regular Q7.I also have a tow hitch and understand the weight issue if towing with 7 people in the car.

Tow hitch and running boards use the same mounting holes apparently. Some here said they have installed both, probably sharing the mounting holes. Not sure about the S-line being an issue with the running boards. If you build S-line at Audi site, allows you to add the running boards with S-Line but not together with the towing package.

I have OEM running boards on my '09 S-line. You shouldn't have an issue.

No issues with running boards and S line model; i have them installed on my 2011. tow package + pano roof used to be a problem but as someone else has mentioned; others have mounted the boards with tow pkg.

BUMP to confirm. Just picked up a 2014 S-Line Q7 and Romik is telling me their boards will not fit with the S-line. I have a tow package too, but they didn't even ask for that info.

What am I missing?

I had a 2012 Prestige w/ S-Line+ with both options however not from the factory. The tow hitch had to be installed afterward (So it did not have the additional hardware/cooling features but the running boards fit without issue.)
