Audi's TDI implementations (by all accounts) are steller, with gobs of torque. Everything I've read puts the A5 3.0TDI keeping up the S5 easily, with some folks saying it feels FASTER. The usuable torque at low RPMS seems to continually wow the press.

I'm thinking you need to drive one before attempting to pass judgment...we ALL do.
