I'm picking up a 2018 SQ5 tomorrow and I'm planning on getting SD cards for music. I see SDHC and SDXC types. Does it matter which one I get. Also, is there a limit on capacity?

Doesn't matter, I am using 32 gig ones, but supports at least 64. Copy and paste from ITunes and it works great in car.

There's a note in my A4 owner's manual about NOT using mini SD cards that fit into normal SD cards. Audi is concerned that vibration might cause the mini to dislodge and jam in the slot.

Any SD card (SD/SDHC/SDXC) with capacity of up to 128GB will work. It need to be formatted using exFAT, FAT, FAT32 or NTFS. But probably such capacity is excessive, unless you use very high bit rates of losless compression (FLAC) since there is a limit of 10,000 files per media source and 1,000 files per folder/playlist.

Yes, it does. It is however only 10GB and has some more files limits (3,000 if I recall properly out of my head).
