For the first time ever a small little traffic light appears near the outside temp reading on the dash screen with a countdown timer. My 2020 I don’t believe had this feature and it was an option I thought but I think what I experienced was a feature that determined when the next light would change. This car has been driven extensively in Ohio, Kentucky, PA, TN and over the last 4 years this is the only time this popped on the dash. Anyone familiar?

I think the traffic light indicator system is part of Audi Connect. The system is available in certain portions of the country, such as NYC for me.

I first noticed it working near Universal Studios Orlando several months ago. It’s a neat feature and fairly accurate, but not really too useful since you have to take your eyes off the road to set the cruise control, or modulate the accelerator. I would say it’s only available in the large metropolitan areas in the US, and then in only very select areas since there must be some high costs involved in hardware and installation. It’s just a gimmick as part of the Connect subscription as noted.
