SQ5 Cargo Questions
Hi, all. I am considering coming back to the Audi fold, and the SQ5 is on my short list. I was leaning toward an S5 Sportback, but egress will likely be a problem for my wife, and I don't want to be 'that guy'. I know the SQ5's seat height will work for her, and now I'm trying to determine if the SQ5's size is going to create any serious problems for me. The first concern is the cargo capacity. Does a standard full size golf bag fit diagonally across the trunk without removing the driver? I tried to search, but didn't find anything definitive.
Also, does the rear seat still adjust forward, or did that feature die with the first gen model? Are the rear seatbacks adjustable? Not just recline, but can the seatback angle be made more upright to square off the cargo hold to increase volume?
Finally, has anyone ordered an SQ5 recently? What is the lead time on a custom build?
Thanks in advance!

Yes with a 46 inch driver in a Sun Mountain large cart bag.

The rear seats fold down individually to increase storage capacity. I don't know if they go forward since I never looked. There isn't all that much foot room to begin with.

Two years ago it was in the 3 month region. Now with Covid it's probably worse.
If you are worried about entry into the front seats get one with air suspension and set in in the lowest setting which is dynamic. You can change the setting on the fly if you want it higher.
Thanks in advance!

As mentioned, the optional air suspension will may entering/exiting much easier. You can really make the air suspension "squat" by purchasing the CETE Suspension module, which lower the suspension even further, and can be controlled via a Smartphone app. It's on the mod list for my Sportback.

I use a "cart" golf bag and remove the driver to make it fit without squeezing it in. I have tried laying the seat down but prefer removing the driver better.

I have a cart bag, and yes, it will fit diagonally without removing the driver. You can't get much else in there though. If you're going on a trip and need a normal size suitcase, you'd have to remove the driver (still not sure it'd fit horizontally then) or flip down one or both seat backs and put the bag in "vertically".
Edit: I just checked, and if I remove the driver, the bag fits nicely sideways.

That would be sad if they don't have reclining rear seats.. it's in my 2018 SQ and I use it often for volume

The rear seat in my 2021 slides back and forth about 10cm and the seat back angle can be adjust in two positions to make the cargo area "more square".
