I have the '21 SQ5 so this is great to see! Never really knew how it sounded outside. Is the exhaust sound the same for normal and sport mode, or is it louder for sport?

N vs S doesnt wake it up any more, you change that in the settings

Yup, dynamic mode opens the exhaust baffles not the sport transmission setting.

My 2018 SQ5 had a MUCH better exhaust note the my '21. I have tried all the recommended tricks and I had it checked out during my first service. The baffles are operating as they should, the '21 SQ5's are just a dude when it comes to sound. Very slight increase in rumble, no cracks or pops. I'll live, but will definitely check out my next vehicle (if it has that option) when my lease is up.

It sounds louder and more aggressive inside the car when in Dynamic mode, I believe due to artificial sound coming from the speakers. I think it's called the "Soundacator" or something of the sort. Don't know if it changes things on the outside though, but it sure makes the vehicle more responsive.

I got behind a Q7 this morning in the cold air and exhaust vapor was coming out of both tailpipes. I suppose it has true exhaust "sport tips", unlike our SQ5s.

You should hear it with the "hot" exhaust vs the cold in the video. I had a 2020 SQ5 and now have a 2022 with the hot exhaust and it is much louder.

In the video it mentions black tips are now available as a dealer only add on. Anyone have these and how do they look? How hard would this be to put them on a hot sport exhaust with chrome tips or it might only be available as a complete exhaust package.
