Default How common is the "Q5e Electrical System Malfunction"?

I apologize if it's inappropriate to start a new thread on an old topic, but I'm specifically trying to get a sense of how common this problem is. I have a '21 Q5e with 15,000 miles and have had the electrical system failure once already. It reset itself after a time and I drove to the dealer who said they could find nothing wrong with it.

All of my driving has been minimal and close to home so far, but we're heading on a cross country trip in a couple of months and I'm beginning to worry about a catastrophic failure. I dumped a flawed, two year old Jeep for this Q5e because it was so unsafe to drive and now I fear similar problems with the Q5e.

I'm trying to get a sense of how common this problem is. I'm tempted to trade this Q5e in for something else that would hopefully not have such a potential flaw before my trip. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Saw it once at ~300miles but also I may have tried to put in drive multiple times when Start button was pressed without foot hard enough on the brake which caused it to pop up. Not seen since in 1500 miles and done plenty of long trips.

Because the CEL goes off after a few start cycles and because of the tech bulletin I think its a SW bug that I'm not too concerned about.

Knocking wood, I haven't seen it in 12K miles.

Just short of 10,000 miles on my 2021 Q5e, I've never seen it.

7500 miles on our '22 and have NOT had a single issue. I am told that AoA sells A LOT of Q5 PHEVs so any chronic shortcomings would be very visible which I know is of ZERO comfort to someone who has had to deal with the issue.

I watch threads such as this one to sniff out any potential issues that might strand us but so far we are VERY HAPPY with our Q5e and it has exceeded our expectations.

My 2020 had the message show up at around 1K miles and them never showed up again. It restarted after sitting in the driveway for 4 hours.

The electrical malfunction happened to my '20 Q5e at around 1k miles and has not occurred again; currently at 20K miles. I very frequently (couple times a week) have to push the start button 2 or 3 times to get the "Etron Ready" message. Stiff brake pedal and maybe a start routine glitch. I have another vehicle I take on trips out of town. It's a gas hog, but its reliability is GOAT and one of the last things I want on long trips is to worry about the vehicle.

Happened twice. Second time car stopped unexpectedly in the road. Just signed the buy back papers with Audi this past week.

Happened to us at 3000 miles. Did the buyback. Car could not break or accelerate on a 45 mph road, luckily was driving slot and rolled into a parking lot and parked there until tow company arrived. Would have been a life threatening crash for sure if we were driving faster.
