Getting 220V line installed today

Didn't run out of space. There was space in my main panel but it was a long wire run to where I wanted the receptacle. This was a much easier and cleaner install.

Looks good! I’m sure you have a safe and well-placed outlet. There are brackets available for supporting the charging cable and box if that would help the finishing touches.

Yes I've been trying to get the charger clip from Audi but they're very backorded and none are available in the United States currently. I did get a clip to hold the jplug on the wall from Amazon.

My personal game plan for the eventual high amperage charging port in the garage is to run a 100amp sub panel to the garage and go from there. My main panel is about as far as you can get from the garage so running copper would far more expensive then running a 100 amp service cable in aluminum and then switching back to copper for a short run behind the sub.

if it is less than ~150 for the run probably not. It would be cheaper if you did it yourself. And if it is that far, you still would have to upsize the aluminum to 2/0
awg or 1awg anyway vs a run of 6/4 awg copper.

To the question above on mounting, I used two 3/4" single screw EMT straps to mount mine to the wall (see photo inside the red circles). I spray painted them black before install, so it is a very clean (and readily available) solution. See photo below.
The accessory to hold the plug & coil the cable is $19 from Amazon ( ). I'm pretty happy with this setup.

These are useful too. I lost two spots to a generator interlock kit, and I broke up a few other circuits as I wanted my outside refer and my garage freezer on their own circuits. I got one of these to help out. Two breakers in the space of one. I have a single circuit for my Hurricane shutters, a single circuit for my outdoor low voltage lighting and another one for a tiny fountain. Also my garbage disposal, my dishwasher each have their own circuit, My garage door opener has its own circuits. A double breaker for my pool pump, a double breaker for my pool heater (That I rarely use) and a double breaker for my irrigation pump. Not much draw, but I just need more room.
I tried to install one on my sons box, but his box had a block out stub that would not allow this type of breaker. I was going to just modify the stub on the breaker, but I read that his box was not designed to handle them so that is why it was there. So I left it along.
