Default Drive-side motor mount leaking

Hi All. I just finished my fifth maintenance for my 2018 Audi Q5. I got told that there was some issue with the bracket that held the engine and transmission. Details are provided in the pictures. I am surprised that the dealer actually gave me a quote like 2000 bucks which I think is way too expensive for just changing the mount bracket. Is it possible/safe to just change it by myself or did anyone actually change it with a cheaper price in some other places (not from dealer). BTW, I am in the Bay Area, California. Any help will be appreciated!

Motor mount leaking/broken already on a 4 year old vehicle? Is this a known issue with motor mounts like some Hondas?

Seems a bit common on B9 2.0T engines, like the water pumps. Sad!

034Motorsport sells a replacement that contains no fluid so it won’t ever leak. And they are cheaper than OE.

They are an OE direct replacement for the mounts found in the SQ5 but they are also a replacement for the 2.0t, just a little firmer than the stock ones.

You are right! it did happen to my 4 year old car. I recently checked online and found out it normally won't happen that fast for those old models.

Thanks, this actually looks very promising. From the description, it says the item is for A4/A5 or S4/S5/SQ5, I might need to check with the seller to see if it will fit normal Q5.

My wife's 2018 Q5 (original owners) was diagnosed today with 2 worn out engine mounts. It only has 63,000 miles. Driven in the city and highway but never off-road; nor has it ever been autocrossed. The vibrations only happen (for now) when I turn the wheel to full lock and start from a complete stop. I am very disappointed with the quality of this car overall. I had my A3 for 12 years without any mechanical issues, but that car was German built; my wife's Q5 was build in Mexico. I wonder if the parts sourced were lower quality.
