Default Creaky brake pedal

Have a 2018 SQ5 and in the last few weeks my brake pedal has started creaking every time I depress it and when I let off too. Needless to say this is super annoying. Is this as easy as spraying some WD-40? If so, what am I aiming for?

We have the same issue. I have had no success spraying any kind of lubricant on parts and making the noise stop. I plan to have the dealer address it during the wheel trim recall.

Mine happened on my 2018 q5 as well. This was back in June of 2017 tho ,

I had to take it to the dealer, let them know, but there is no greasing or anything you can do, it has to be replaced. it should be under warranty unless you drive a lot like me...

I've had it occasionally on my SQ5 too, a slight "twang" sound when you release the pedal. Along with other noises, particularly an occasional noise coming from the dashboard, it's pretty disappointing how modern German cars are being built these days.

I took my SQ5 to the dealer for a squeaky brake pedal and they were able to rid it of the noise with some lubrication.

Good to know they could actually do something about it and not say its "normal" like my squealing brakes. Hopefully they can fix my latest issue when I go in for the recall.

The clanging (for want of a better word) is a known issue (in the UK at least) and is addressed by replacing the master cylinder and other components that are along with it. It has been discussed many times on the UK Audi Q5 forum. There are 40 pages in this link, so pull up a comfortable chair.

I took our Q5 in for the wheel trim recall and to have them check the noisy brake pedal. They have to replace the master cylinder so it will be 2-3 weeks for the part to arrive from der fatherland.
