And wait till particulates get into your air chamber and f-- up your engine for good. OP, if you have the 3.0T (Q5 gen 1), then APR & ECS offer a pretty good CAI which make the routing of air more direct and better.

Yes , the 2.0 tfsi has a turbo but the 3.0T has a supercharger my friend !!!

If you look you will see that there is a different forum for the older model (gen 1) but my friend I have a 2018 SQ5 (3.0t) indeed it has a turbo.

Now for the fun of it since I did have a S4 with a Rock Euro cai and it was to loud for my liking so I removed it. There is a different option that is to remove OEM air intake and look for the round cutouts on the box, some have said that is the best of both worlds.
P.S. a also have a 2017 Q5 with the 3.0t (SUPERCHARGED) Wife's.
