With mine - & I assume others - you can set the mode to "camera" & it will remember that setting for the next two or three times you use the feature. Then it reverts on its own back to "graphic" mode & stays that way unless you go back into settings & select "camera" again. Really annoying to start backing up & have to stop, hit the right settings button on the trackpad, select "camera" again, press the center ****, hit the back button, & start on your way (by then you've forgotten why you were going somewhere )
It's obvious this isn't the way it's supposed to work. My Q7 has retained its setting since the day I took delivery - same with my A4 that was replaced by the Q5.

There's an MMI firmware update to address this - for me it changed when my MMI got updated from V0918 to V1316. Dealer did it after I had complained that the top view mode wasn't working consistently.
