2024 Q5/SQ5 redesign?
Is the 2024 Q5/SQ5 going to be a complete redesign or just incremental changes, and any idea when the '24 would be made available in the US? Asking b/c I don't want to buy the last year run of a model that's about to be completely overhauled. Thanks.

You'll know later this year probably when Audi gets around to actually formally announcing something involving the next generation of the B segment.

I'm interested in knowing this as well. I get antsy when a totally redesigned model comes out and what I love about my 2018 Q5 is that changes have been so minimal over the years, and the car still looks great, so I don't feel like I'm driving an "older" model. A normal schmoe driving by a 2018 Q5 and a 2023 Q5 won't notice anything different unless they were right next to each other. I bought a wireless CarPlay adapter on Amazon so I'm even happier to keep mine until I see what 2025 brings. And then the question is...do I stick with ICE or go EV? Questions questions....

Since the Q5 range including SQ5 is already under replacement with the Q e-tron models I suspect you will see a small refresh at best. There’s little point in Audi doing a complete new model when legislation is going to outlaw gasoline engined vehicles before too long.

Based on the spy shots, it looks like the Q5 is getting quite the overhaul, both inside and out. Here is 1 article, but if you google, there are a few more you can read
The big question is whether or not it will hit the US for 2024 or 2025, my guess is it will come over to us as MY25

The e-tron stuff is a parallel deployment. While Porsche appears to be skipping the B10 update and moving to only the PPE Macan, there's been nothing to imply Audi is doing the same. Since Audi has other vehicles to develop B10 for anyway.

It'll be a new update, but it'll still be an EA888 2.0T engine, or maybe they roll in the EA211 evo2 1.5T engine? EA888 Gen4 was the 12v MHEV update introduced starting MY21. I believe they'll move to the 48v MHEV variant introduced in the 8Y starting MY22. There's still the question of if they drop the 2.0T MHEV for a 1.5T PHEV: https://www.carscoops.com/2022/07/vw...er-efficiency/ I doubt AoA would go that route, but anything is possible. That's really the main question about the B10, will it be mostly MHEV or mostly PHEV, or what. There's a wide range of possibilities, but what they actually put in the product is anyone's guess right now.
What Audi had announced before is that any new releases after MY26 will be BEV only. But they'll be making vehicles with ICE in them past CY30 at least.

I just lost my 22 A4 in an accident. So I'm back to looking for a new car. The Q5e I liked. But I don't know if I can be without a car for a year. Besides seeing the car price going up, as I've been looking since 2021 and now the Q5e I was looking at is over 71k. I'm at the end of how much I can spend. So waiting for the 2024 and seeing it go up another $2k (guessing) may stop me from getting it.
The current model looks ok. I wish the sportsback was avail in the Q5e. And wished you could get ventilated seats while still getting the adjustable suspension. But I like the new full length rear light bar that the spy shots show of the 2024. And if I saw it right, how they integrated the central screen into the dash. I always hated the screens that looked like a last minute thought where they glued a screen to the dash. If I got close to 30mi in electric that would be fine as I hardly go more than 15miles one way, which I think the current model does. I also wish they would put a charging port on both sides of the car. Since my wife's PHEV van gets the parking stall in front of the charger, I would have to park mine by reversing into the garage to have the charger on the correct side. Other thing I heard is the Matrix lights still doesn't work in the USA? And possibly it would only work on the newer model? That would suck.

Audi isn't going to bother with recertification process for the B9 just to get matrix headlights available. They'll wait till its part of the whole new vehicle process for the B10.
Yeah, it's more than a bit chump on AoA's part to lock options into very few rigid configurations. But they've always dicked over customers like that.
