Default 2024 q5 ordering dates

Hi
I know it maybe a bit early, but does anyone know when you can start custom ordering the 2024? Also does anyone have a spec sheet of what packages come with the 2024

Waiting myself, the dealer is to call me as soon as he gets any allocations for '24, so no date yet. My '22 Q5 was ordered 5/19/21, for reference, and we reconfigured an allocation he had just received. I'm hoping for something around that time. The '22 was ultimately delivered in September '21.

Audi UK changed the spec to MY23.5 a couple of weeks ago. I changed my 23 order to a 23.5. I reordered on 21st April and was advised it goes to build w/c 21st August.

MY23.5
In the UK, what actually changed to make it a ".5"?

Thanks.

Not just the UK, in Australia we have ".5" model year vehicles from most manufactures which do their twice yearly upgrades to keep their products fresh
The ".5" is basically models produced in the 2nd half of a calendar year, not the next incoming year like North American Region vehicles.
Examples - A February 2023 produced vehicle would be a MY23 and a July 2023 produced vehicle would be called a MY23.5.
It helps them justify their pricing increases.

We're "lucky" in the US, I guess. They change prices whenever the spirit moves them, and the Marketing folks follow the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency): "Under Environmental Protection Agency rules, manufacturers can introduce a next-model-year vehicle for public sale as early as January 2 of the preceding calendar year—for example, a 2018-model-year vehicle can be sold starting on January 2, 2017."

Thanks.
Audi UK Product managers chose to give us very little. E.g. In a weird decision you couldn't have side assist if you had dynamic cruise.

Lots that is standard in the US is not included here. By reordering I can now get more spec without being forced to have a blackout external trim (yeah inknownits the current fashion but I don't follow). Before the .5 you simply couldnt get memory seats (a big thing for my wife and me) and now we can (and memory mirrors). I'm now also getting HUD, panoromic roof, phone charger and all driver assistance options.

I still can't buy a heated screen or steering wheel and neither can I get rear side airbags or rear heated seats. Dont even think about massage or ventilated. Air suspension isnt possible either unless its SQ5. My family and I decided we wanted to have dinamica instead of full leather for more summer/winter comfort but in another weird packaging thing you cant get the Bench Plus (slideabe rear seat) if you don't go full leather. Can't get the load rails in the boot either. Germans can order all this stuff individually. We cant spec many things.

I have a couple of queiries open at the moment :

Why do the '23 Slines come with th 20% rear sear latch tonthe 40% but theres no release button to split them and whether the pano roof eliminates the ability to use a separator net to protect passengers and the driver when you have loads in rear.

It seems more and more manufacturers are going for bundles making cars less configurable.

E.g. if you want a 360 camera or Advanced Key, now you have to order the Tech Pack Pro at £4500!

Take a look at audi.co.uk for the full picture

Thanks for the detail. Honda here is probably among the most dedicated to "packages" and models, rather than breaking out options.

I may be able to help on the 20% portion of the rear bench seat: the release is on the top of the 20% seat, on the left (drivers' side here) next to the head restraint. Push down on the button to release just the center section. If you drop the 60% from that side by pulling the seat side lever, it does fall along with the other 40%, normally.

Spoke to my dealer today and the order guide for the 2024 Q5/SQ5 is now available. As expected, the model is carried over from 2023 and the redesign isn’t expected to hit until 2025
