I have my TT at MHI2_US_AU43x_P5180_MU1462 with MU updated to 1462 - is there a newer MU you can update to ?

Try the update option in the red engineering menu. It ignores the FEC. If the maps still can't be found, there's almost certainly something wrong with the SD card.

1316 is the latest dealers can upgrade to.
1320 is the latest factory install, oddly enough dealers can't update to 1320.... It's VERY rare I see version 1320 out in the wild

I had to format my USB as exFAT, so that may be worth a shot, it wouldn't work as FAT32 for some reason.

Why do you guys use the Audi maps I use Android and it absolutely works beautifully up to date current never fails and the ability to look up old addresses is much better than the Audi MMI

Honestly, it's more so when travelling out of Canada into the USA, I try and avoid paying for an expensive data plan, so if I can manage to get my vehicle's built in nav working it's a bonus.

Otherwise you're totally right, the built in nav is subpar compared to anything Android Auto/Carplay offers. I just hate how when I use Carplay/Android Auto it turns the virtual cockpit map into a compass when navigation is on..

I might be one of the few who think Audi Nav is overall better than Android Auto and CarPlay. Zooming in on Virtual Cockpit really helps with driving in big cities with complex intersections. Projecting the next maneuver to the head-up display is nice too. Google Maps and Waze tend to reroute too aggressively just to save a few minutes while Audi Nav has better routing. Also, AA and CP are not optimized for non-touch MIB2, making it kind of clumsy to use.

BTW, by applying the "navignore" patch with More-Incredible-Bash, you can actually run Audi Nav alongside AA/CP. So, during road trips, I set up Audi Nav and keep Waze on "alert only" mode. That way, I get the navigation prompts from Audi Nav, while Waze keeps me in the loop about any road hazards.

My main issue with Audi Nav is the useless POI voice search, which never worked for me.

Ditto. There's something nice about having the full sized up-to-date Audi maps and getting the Waze notices over audio.
