2021 Q5 in Dallas - standard seat swap for warm weather pkg?
Title pretty much says it all - I just bought a 2021 Q5 Premium Plus (black on black) without the warm weather package and now have regret not having those seats due to the standard seat's comfort levels for my body type - based on some research, seat comfort is a hugely subjective thing so putting this out there to see anyone in Dallas happens to be in the opposite situation and wants to swap - I'd also drive to Austin or Houston for this
P.s. I'm new to the forum so please advise if there's a better place to post this kind of information.

Should be noted that the warm weather seats have ventilation and the controls for that are part of the hvac control unit. I suspect there is a good bit of work and likely programming to swapping everything.

My understanding is that the ventilated seats are not actually connected to the HVAC system. They are passively cooled, meaning they have fans in the seats that draw air away from your body, they don’t actually blowing air onto you. So, while there is no HVAC ducting, who knows if the seat wiring harnesses all have that wiring standard and it’s just not used for non-ventilated seats.

Yea, OP would have to source the HVAC controls for the physical buttons, unless the seats can also be controlled through the MMI?

The seats themselves basically just have a fan built into them that pulls air through the holes and away from your body just like you said. There is no HVAC plumbing... that's just where the control buttons live.
