Will I regret not getting B&O??

What do you think of the stock system on the ML350? I sat in one last week and thought it sounded quite catchy. I haven't tried the same songs on my Q5 stock system though, it was Michael Jackson.

I have heard the E320 stock sound system (Logic 7), not sure if it's the same system on the ML350, and it didn't much bass imo but pretty clear on soft music.

It's probably the same system. Yea the Q5 stock has a ton of bass. I played some songs that I'm used to hear on my Sennheiser headset, now I feel that the headset has no low-end at all lol

The B&O system on the 2009 Q5 I took for a test drive sounded decent, if not sounding a little artificially bass heavy even when I tried to adjust it to be neutral. I was only listening to FM since I didn't bring any CDs to try, and I regret not cranking up the system to see how it really sounded. I'd go back and do this but I'm too lazy and this aspect of the Q5 wasn't going to be a dealbreaker. I already ordered one with B&O anyway since I wanted everything else in the Prestige package.

The stock audi systems in general are above average, so you definitely won't be disappointed. If you experience the B&O system, and then go back to the stock system you probably will be disappointed. It really is special, and really is worth the money.

does anyone know the wattage and the # of speakers in the Q5 with the stock system? i believe its something like 12 speakers? 6 in the front, 4 in the rear, 1 sub and 1 center?

with Audi Sound : 10 speakers (+ 1 sub, + 1 center-front/ 1 more amplifier (total 180 W) I have this config. and it sounds excellent
I compared with the B&O that is understandably better, but not that better considering the price. The higher sounds are more detailled because of the 2 tweeters in the front doors (near the mirrors). If you correctly adjust the fader, the Audi Sound is great at a fraction of the price

Wattage means nothing, I have heard many system with a lot of watts and sound like crap. You get what you pay for, the B&O in the Q5 is a pretty cheap option, so it sounds better but not by much. In my opinion, the Bose system in the A6 sounds much better. You will not regret not getting the B&O. If you happen to find one with it, thats fine, but I would not go out of my way to find one.
