Thanks for the heads up.

What NAV benefits do you lose if you don't renew Audi Connect/T-Mobile ? Is it just Google maps or other features too ?

You lose the following: (all are dynamically updated)
Google Earth map overlay
Online Destination search w/Voice Command
Street View and Destination Street View
Google "Send to Car" destinations from Google Maps computer or phone app
myAudi Destinations web site
All Audi Connect info services, i.e. news, gas prices, weather, parking, events, etc.

You don't lose the following:
Standard maps w/turn-by-turn navigation
On-board internal/hard drive destinations POIs and address w/search (which are not dynamically updated)
Sirius Traffic (w/subscription)

So now I'm curious. How do you change your cell phone provider from T-Mobile?

A cel phone has nothing to with Audi Connect. The car uses its own 3G T-Mobile sim card direct from T-Mobile or one of the other pay-for-use providers that use the T-Mobile network. One could use an AT&T sim in the car but Audi Connect would run with a slower 2G connection due to different 3G frequencies.

It's already horribly slow. I would rather have the ability to pair it with my phone or iPad when I got in the car. I know they're doing LTE next year but that's pretty hard to buy another car only for that purpose. What do you think the likelihood of having the ability to upgrade existing with LTE? I know it's built in but not sure if, let's say for $500, you could replace the cellular portion (granted I know even if you could, it would be more than $500).
