Default US SQ5 Headlight Adjustment

I just installed Bilstein sports & H&R -3 springs this afternoon, and it has been a great improvement both visually and in terms of driving. The only issue now is that the headlights need to be adjusted.

Could anyone provide guidance as to specifically which screw to adjust (vertical) and what direction (clockwise = up or vice versa)? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, is VAG-COM necessary to do this (headlight service mode)?

I followed this guide.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/578065-How-to-Properly-Re-Calibrate-and-Adjust-Adaptive-Bi-Xenon-Headlights

For your new suspension setup, any more detail on how you find it compared to the stock setup (or even Q5s lowered on just springs)? I've found my ride on just the springs to be a bit more bouncy than I'd like.

That guide is perfect.

Exactly how I adjusted mine.

Thank you for the response, the link was certainly helpful. I did a quarter turn on each side to be on the conservative side and will verify tonight. I ended up using a hex instead of the phillips head.

Finally, in regards to the ride quality with the Bilsteins & H&R, I like it very much. In the beginning I was a bit concerned as I had no idea of the spring rates on these H&R's, and given that these Bilstein B8's are "universal" I didn't know how they would match up. However, as others with this combo have mentioned I was pleasantly surprised, the ride is not bouncy at all. Pitch/Squat is less pronounced and it is not too harsh.

Although it costs more to replace the shocks and springs I learned this lesson with one of my previous cars (GTI), where I just replaced the springs and the ride was very "bouncy," perhaps due the valving being off with the stock shocks.

However, for the SQ5 I have no idea how it would ride with just the springs, perhaps others might chip in.

Here's the Xenon Basic Settings VCDS procedure and also a very good article on How To Aim Headlamps.

FYI, my 2015 SQ5 has DOT VOL headlights and requires to aim the left cutoff 0.7% (or 2.1" at 25') downward.

I had the same problem and fixed it by simply doing the Xenon Basic Settings. No mechanical headlight adjustment needed in my case. Which make sence.
