Default Towing with 2014 Q5 2.0

Just put the 1000th mile on my new Q5 and had to try out the towing setup. WHAT A DIFFERENCE from towing with my A4 Avant B7! Amazingly smooth. Factory hitch works flawlessly. My hitch installer suggested getting the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller (same company that makes Prodigy). He said the Prodigy has software which detects the hitch which could interfere with the Audi software which detects the hitch. Brake controller works flawlessly...just had to adjust the intensity slightly with an easy to adjust ****.

Thanks! It weighs 1900 lbs loaded for camping. It is a vintage camper. 1949 Boles-Aero.

Not trying to hijack but I noticed in your sig that we both had a 1997 Porsche Carrera 4S and a BMW M3. Our taste in cars is close to the same.

Well what can I say. Great minds think alike. Wish I still had the C4S, but I bought the RS4 to replace it.

That's funny, I wish I had kept mine also. I replaced mine with a 997S.

Yay Donna -

I'm glad you were able to catch the car at port to get the hitch installed!

Our grand parents built things to last. It looks great for being 60+ years old! Nice to hear that it is still in service too.
