Does your radar detector work well? I just got a speeding ticket today and am thinking of investing in one

A radar detector will more than pay for itself in no time. Sometime you just dont realize how fast you are going, that is when its really nice to have a detector. Even the inexpensive detectors work. No need to spend $300 to get the benifits of radar detection.

im about to post a thread about hardwiring mine. i have a Valentine V1 and love it. it works great. stay away from cheap ones, they just **** off the better ones with false signals and don't get u as great warning. but sadly the cheap ones do work. radar is still not fool proof. laser will get you (need a jammer otherwise) and instant on is a tricky one to avoid.

i think instant on is when the cop shoots the laser when he sees a car as opposed to just keeping it on all the time. correct me if i'm wrong...

I must say this is one solid car. It feels slow going fast... I didn't even realize I was going 80 on the highway until I looked down.
