So I took my SQ5 in for the hitch (had to wait a while as I guess it has been backordered). Turns out there were installing mine and another SQ5 in dealer stock and they realized they had to order an additional SQ5 specific bracket for it.

So.... if you go get your installed make sure they have ordered the extra bracket so you don't have to come back a week later when they actually get all the parts in they need.


I will update you next week when they finally do my install.

However, I want them to round the corners of the square. I will post when i get mine done.

Actually, I just gave them these photos from Yoshimura. This is the cleanest install I have seen to date. I don't plan on using the hitch a ton, I just want it so when I need it (moving etc), I have it.

Yoshimura's has the corners rounded on the cut out. Yes, you do need to remove the panel to tow and hook up the electronics, but I am fine with that.

Why no rounded corners?

My dealer agreed to install the trailer hitch on my SQ5 without any electrical connections (just for a bike carrier) next week. As soon as I get pictures I will post them.
