Q5 vs FX35

And the winner is.........Audi Q5!!!
The FX35 is nice a ride, but it couldn't match the Q5's performance. We drove the Q5 then an hour later the Infiniti. The experience was very fresh and we could do a good comparison.
Today we placed an order for a Glacier White/Black 3.2 Q5 Prestige with S-line and Luxury packages. Now I just have to get through 90 (or hopefully less) days of waiting and anticipation.
Thanks for everyone's advice. I've learned a lot from this forum.

When I see an FX now, I am glad that I picked the Q5 over it.. Nothing against the FX though

The FX35 is a quicker vehicle all around, just to be clear. Not saying anyone's wrong here, just that it's in published information. The Q5 is more refined and has a more functional cargo area in my opinion. I came from a G35 and 37 and often received an FX35 as a loaner during maintenance windows.
Congrats on the Q purchase, however, as I think you've made a great choice.

We test drove the following -
BMW X3 2.8 and 3.5
Audi Q5 2.0 and 3.2
Infiniti FX 35
Lexus RX 350
Mercedes GLK 350
Acura MDX
Irrespective of the specs and all the reviews and what not, the only one to have that exclamation of an unanimous "WOW" was the Audi Q5 and that's what we got!
